The Green Café: Coffee and you: a cupping

November 5, 2015

Note Location Change!

Presented by Gina Gerfao and Benjamin Toalston of Blue State Coffee

Gina and Benjamin of Blue State Coffee welcomed the Green Café with an informative presentation on the tastes and evaluation of coffees worldwide. They explored many facets of coffee such as acidity, body, flavor, and much more.  We learned that coffee is in fact not a bean but the seed of a type of cherry.  After the presentation guests were invited to try several of the coffees brought by Blue State paired with snacks that complimented the natural flavors of the coffee.  For photos from the event please follow our @GreenCafe14 twitter account.  And for more information on the topic please watch the full length video of the presentation on our Youtube channel “The Green Café at Yale” at https://youtu.be/tkstVRvqcGs

Green Café is a monthly event, with an interactive presentation for plant scientists, gardeners, environmentalists and others.  All are welcome, admission is free.  Please email for more information: eric.larson@yale.edu, joshua.gendron@yale.edu.
